NWR: Follow-up from last night

So some of you may have seen my post from last night about how I seem to have developed a deodorant allergy. Well after waking up this morning, my mom & I are 99% sure I actually have shingles. WTF?! How the heck to I get shingles at the age of 26?! Well I know how, apparently I wasn't dealing with my stress very well. So I have a doctor appointment later. I really really hope they can at least give me something for the pain. And today is my birthday, I am now the big 2-6. Suppose to be going to dinner tonight with FI and my family, but I honestly don't know if I feel like it anymore. I don't know if any of you have ever had shingles but it's quite painful. On a side note, this is kind of exciting - my last birthday as a "single girl" I wish I was in better health? Hahaha. Ok well I hope you all are having a fabulous day.

WOW!!!  Happy birthday but that's to bad about the shingles - I have heard it really sucks!  Don't let stress get the better of you tho!  26 is a GREAT year so get better and have fun

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! On a side note you can get shingles at any age.... it is a form of chicken pox mostly where nerve endings are usually on one side of the body. Feel better!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!Ekk, shingles!?  My FI's brother had them last year, he said it was super painful but if I remember right it went away pretty quick (::VIBES:: for that)

You poor thing!  I just got over shingles a month or two ago and trust me, I "feel your pain!"  What a bad way to spend your birthday.Get some valtrex and pain meds from your doctor along with a big bottle of Caladryl and an old shirt.  Then relax on the couch and veg out to some bad tv.  It took me some time to get 100%, but I did start feeling much better once the valtrex got in my system.  Keep in mind that up to a certain point, it is contaigous to people who haven't had chicken pox (or the vaccine) yet.I hope your day improves and that you still have a great birthday!

What a weird birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUUU!! I hope the doctor goes well and it really isn't shingles, cause I too, have heard that it sucks. haha, the 2-6.. I turned it this year, and being on the 'other side' of 25 is .... interesting. I hope you're up for going for dinner and celebrating!!1

Okay so I'm sure it's not what you were hoping for but at least it's something that can be treated.  Sorry it had to happen on your birthday.  I hope you have a better Birthday and that the pain goes away.

Thanks everyone for the sympathy & birthday wishes! :)I'm actually having quite a good day, despite the fact that if I move my right arm at all I want to cry, hahaha.You've all motivated me to just be happy and go to dinner tonight. This is my last "single" birthday, it would be a shame not to celebrate it properly :)Love the DW girls!
