Marriage License

I was looking up the information for when e get our marriage license and I was a little put off by the price.  I had always thought they were cheaper.  Not that it matters.  =)I guess more than anything I'm curious what you all think.$85?  Is that pretty normal?

Perhaps it depends on the state, mine was definitely cheaper than that. I want to say around $40.

Ours was $60 total... $30 of the actual license and $30 for the judge to sign it.

Are you guys not making your marriage legal in whatever place you go to?I thought the resort handles most of that?

**tiffanyliska** We are not getting legally married at our destination due to the residency requirements of France. Some girls get legally married at home to avoid blood test, certificate translation costs and things like that.

That's about right for N.C. Our's is $75.

Puerto Rico is very expensive, thats why we are doing it here in Louisiana is around $100 and then having a pastor marrying us (probably his grandma!). In PR you have to get blood test, and the laywer that takes care of the documents n marries you is about $300 total! Pretty crazy huh!
