Destination Weddings Discussions

I'm Back and a MRS.

It's finally starting to sink in that I am a MRS. Our destination wedding was overall wonderful. The resort, Excellence, was superb and exceeded our expectations. The staff there was always so helpful. We were known as "the 27" (los 27). OUr wedding was the bigest one there that week. All my guest loved their welcome bags and used them. Not everything went off with out a hitch. My mom's dress broke 40min before the ceremony started and by the time they sewed her up we were 40 min late to the ceremony. In the carriage I looked at my mom and said at least we have a story for your grandchildren. The ceremony is a big blurr to me because I was just so happy. Starring into my husbands eyes and the ocean breeze cooling me down. Our photographer was amazing, Photo Souvenir. Since we did pictures right after the ceremony we had so much time with each other while our guest had cocktails on the beach. Our photos are awesome. I am told the mariachi band was great. The food was awesome. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and everyone wants to go back. It was all just wonderful like a dream. I can't believe it's over. The bad: The DJ. Ugh...I feel like I just threw $750 to the garbage. I should have gone with my gut feeling about him. NO intros...nothing the coordinator Mercy brought in someone. The coordinator was very helpful although she was not the woman we spoke to on the phone. Tip: make sure you lable eveything and you have lists and pictures. my table setting wasn't like i wanted, they looked great but not how i imagined them. Regardless WE had an amazing time.
