Civil ceremony? Religious Ceremony? Vow renewal?

For those that are going to the courthouse first (so you will already be legally married) are you doing the "wedding" packages or "vow ernewal" packages?Why did you choose the one you did? To me if we aren't doing it legal in Mexico then why not do the cheaper vow renewal rather than the full deal?Am I missing something?thanks!

I'm doing the marriage license at home then the vow renewal at the resort because it saves us about $400 (otherwise we would have to have all our documents translated to Spanish and pay extra for the full ceremony) Plus I don't want to wait for a marriage certificate to be mailed to me afterward, I know people who waited up to a year for theirs!
