How much to pay for a calligrapher?

My calligrapher was $2 per outer envelope.  From the research I did that seemed fairly standard (I'm in the San Francisco area).

www.tampacalligraphy,com charged my sister $.50 per envelope/place card. I've personally recommended her to everyone I know and I'm going to use her myself.
