Introducing myself

Hello everyone! Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I usually post on the W. Coast Florida board, but thought this board is kind of appropriate for me as well. My FI & I live in Massachusetts but are getting married on Longboat Key in Florida on 2/20/2010. A lot of our relatives live scattered around in Florida, but many live in MA & throughout the country as well. So I guess this is sort of a destination wedding for us. Happy planning!!

Wow! What a welcome! Thanks everyone! You're all so nice!! I will definitely be posting here more often! To AlaskanAlison- Longboat Key is near Sarasota, quite a ways from the keys where you're marrying. But to answer your question. Longboat Key is beautiful, quiet & peaceful... very relaxing. And nearby Sarasota is sooo much fun. There's tons to do... from shopping to museums, good food. You name it, it's there. So if you travel that way, definitely stop by!
