flowers for the guys

Our groomsmen will be wearing brown linen shirts with no jackets.  Boutinniers or no?  We're trying to decide.Help!  We don't know if it will look weird.

Re: flowers for the guys

  • im not the biggest boutin. fan, so i vote no. i think since they aren't wearing jackets, its not really needed. and it won't look weird.

  • First off Mindy, I love the brown linen shirts! No, I don't think it will look weird, per say. I do think that bouts add a nice "finished" touch to the GM, and bouts really can be anything. I saw a girl who made hers out of some netting and mini candy bars (their theme was candy); so if you're not into flowers, you could do starfish, mini conch shells, some small palm leaves, etc.I also think I like bouts because they add some nice color to the otherwise monochromaticness of a BP.HTH!*m*

  • Our groomsmen are not wearing jackets either.  I agree with some of the PP that bouts on shirts just look funny...and if the bout is too heavy it pulls the shirt and won't lay right.  Even though we are not getting married in Hawaii my florist is going to make them tea leaf lei's, like what you find in Hawaiian weddings and incorporate a couple of the light blue hydrangeas that will be in the girl's bouquets.
  • Merhou- we almost got married at the Shores! We love that place. Unfortunately, they did not have our date, or our back up date, and we almost changed the date so we could do it there, but found another venue that worked out in the end. You will have an awesome wedding there.
