St Lucia Wedding Reviews

I haven't been that active on this board, but I always enjoyed reading the reviews so wanted to share mine since I had such a wonderful time. We decided to make it just the two of us and though I did miss our families it was the best time of my life.Wedding Venue: Jalousie Plantation A++ Pro's: We had our wedding at Jalousie Plantation, it was supposed to be at the resort that we stayed at Ti Kaye but when I saw the pictures of weddings done there I knew it was the place. It is located between the Pitons( green lush covered mountains) and the view is awesome looks like it should be fiji. The service was out of this world, they made it so easy and stress-free that we actually went snorkeling the morning of the wedding. The romance director Shantel was wonderful. After the ceremony and pictures we had a candelight dinner on the beach, it was the best food I've ever eaten. The chef came out between each course, even though he had to walk about 200 yards down the beach to reach us. The server Luc was the most attentive server, even though he would melt into the background so well we forgot he was there. Photographer: Karay Media Productions A+ Pro's: Ray was great taking wonderful pictures at a fantastic price. He was so nice and made sure that someone as unphotogenic as I got some pictures that I love. He even hand delivered our photo's to our hotel so we would have them before we left the island. Hotel: Ti Kaye A+Unfortuntely the worst road on the island is their driveway ( they where working on it though) but it is totally worth it. Pro's: Think Luxury Swiss Family Robinson. Little villa's on a cliff, overlooking the ocean and a private beach. Each Villa has a private porch with a hammock and an outside shower, we also had a private plunge pool.  If you want to have a special experiance then this is the place for you.  There was only about 8 couples there so very secluded and they make you feel like you are so special . If you do go have David make you one of his drinks they are always spot on.  Cons: Because of the roads when you get there it's hard to leave. You can take a water taxi which is great fun and get to see beautiful sights, but  very expensive. So for meals we tended to eat there a lot, and while the food was bad, it was expensive for what it was.Hope this helps, and thank you to everyone's posts that I have read that helped me plan my wedding. And good luck to you all. If anyone wants more info or pic's email feel free to email me at jmay212121@gmail.com.
