ARGH! My Hair...

SUCKS!!!!!I cannot find a style that I like for the wedding!I've done 3 (YES, THREE!) hair trials with my hair dresser, who is coming to Aruba and it has not turned out good.I've posted about this before.....my hair does not hold a curl. AT ALL. and that is the problem. Plus my hair is long and really thick.I considered doing a pulled back style, low in the back, but I did that for my first hair trial and didn't really like it. I just HATE my friggin hair! I don't know what to do.....I have my 4th hair trial coming up next weekend and I'm really worried about it....what if nothing ever looks good?! ugh....ok, vent over.

Re: ARGH! My Hair...

  • Have you tried pinned curls?  My hair is the same way, I am really nervous this is going to happen with mine as well!!  When I was in high school I danced and all the other girls hair would look awesome with curls everywhere and mine would be flat, even after using an entire can of Freeze It!!  For prom my hairdresser pinned my curls and it worked :) but wasn't as full as I would have liked!
  • That does sound frustrating!  I can empathize because I have long, thick hair which never holds a style very long.  Have you thought about a new cut to get you out of the hair rut?  Also, have you tried curling with a straightening iron?  I know that sounds silly but it works and there are tutorials online.
  • I wish I had some advice, but I don't! I'm sorry! Um...... oh you know what I have seen that I think looks really nice with long, thick hair?! Kind of loosy french braids! The kind of loose, beachy style with a french braid. I love that, it's classic, and stays put!
  • What about a french twist that doesn't require curl?I'm sorry your hair isn't cooperating with anything :( My hair is like yours too.
  • Oh that stinks!  Sorry I'm not much help - I generally don't care one bit what my hair looks like.  For my bff's wedding, I was MoH and when I went to get my hair done, I just got in the chair and said "I'm MoH in 5 hours - make my hair look nice."  lol  It reallky stressed the hairdresser out that I had no ideas, no pics, nothing.  My sister has poker straight hair and the only thing that would work for her was to shower the night before, load it up with mousse, and twist her hair onto perm rods that she got at a local beauty supply store.  She had to sleep like that, keep them in all day, use about half a can of hair spray, and only take the rollers out right before she was going to take pics.  :-/
