NYC, here I come!

I have to take a minute to brag about my FI, who planned a trip to NYC over Halloween weekend! It was a complete surprise, and the only reason he told me is to clear it with my work schedule since I work weekends sometimes. I'm off that weekend so everything is booked! I am so excited because I've always wanted to go (I'm totally giving away my "midwest girl" status here) and it just seems like an amazing city. I my FI!! So knotties, any suggestions on must see places? I know I'll have to visit some of the uber-touristy places, but something off the beaten path would be cool too. TIA!

You definitely need to stop by Central Park. Oh and if you and your FI want to do something fun, you can check out Dave & Buster's in Time Square. It's like a Chucky E. Cheese for adults. You can have lunch or dinner there

You should ask some of the girls on the ND board we have a few old DW knotties who live or are close to NYC.  Hope you have a great trip.

Man do I love NYC. Been a few times with the girls and love it each time. I'm a softie....I still love the Statue of Liberty. It's my favorite. As for shows, my sister just saw Wicked and raves about it. We went to a soul food resteraunt in Harlem that was amazing. I will try to remember the name. I went to ground zero once, but I don't think I will go back again. It was too overwhelming and sad. It will just break your heart. You got to go to Central Park, but don't go at night! The Empire State building is the best night attraction I've been to. Well, I guess that's enough rambling out of me for awhile. hahahah. Have fun.
