We had some issues accommodating DH’s parents. I knew that Mexico wouldn’t be their thing, and we conceded that going into it, but the complaining still bothered me. His mom got sick and was really ill the day before the wedding. Thankfully she got better and did fine the rest of the trip. They didn’t really do much in PV at all, his mom doesn’t handle heat well because of the medicines she is on, so she was never really outside. I do think they now have a better impression of Mexico than they had previously though, so that’s good. Give yourself lots of time between your salon/spa appts. and when you have to get dressed, the salon ran behind and I had 30 minutes to do my makeup and get dressed. Also, I didn’t realize exactly how hot I would be in my dress until I was standing there at the beginning of the ceremony and could feel how sweaty my legs were. It was gross! I also didn’t eat anything much all day, and my dress was so tight that by the time we went to dinner at 9:30pm I couldn’t take more than a couple bites at a time without feeling sick. On our way back to the resort I had to have my mom loosen my corset on my dress because it was so uncomfortable. We were all joking that now we know why women fainted all the time- because they couldn’t breathe or eat! It rained at the end of our TTD session, so we didn’t get many good sunset pics for that, but we have a lot anyway, so it’s okay.
