***Normailed***

I don't think you saw this. I posted it like two days ago or maybe yesterday on a honeymoon post. Normailed, how does the independent trips work. I will love to go to Paris for longer time, etc. Is it less expensive? Do you have to know your way around to get around? How about the language? Is english well known over there? Do you have some pics you can share with me? Sorry for all the questions, I get so excited when I talk about traveling! :-))

  • Well the independent tours are usually less expensive, but you only stay in one or 2 cities. You fly on your own (but you can book flight through them), they provise the transportation to the hotel and they include one tour which is like an overall of the city. They also gave us passes for some attractions and pases for the Underground (metro and bus). We stayed inb London for a week, but we bought a "tour" to Paris. The took us by train, again with the same overall tour included that you can expand with aditional tours. In Paris the tour guides spoke english, but at restaurants the waiters and other people in general seem very reluctant to speak english. In some places I had better luck with spanish. I do speak a bit of French and can read it fairly well, so I could get by...but there were a few situations where I wished I was fluent.Also...I really didn't like Paris, that much. I mean, the city is beautiful, but people were a bit rude, especially in comparing it to London. We even had a tour guide look at us from head to toe and suggesting we looked at the menu before ordering at a Cafe we wanted to go to, because the place was was expensive according to her...I was like...I'm sorry??!?!?! I made it all the way from PR to London and now Paris, I think can afford to eat wherever I please to eat!...I was so pissed! and it wasn't even that expensive, I think the whole lunch was like $80 american dollars. But other than that the city was nice.Oh...I forgot...at the hotel they give you a few maps, and if you ask the concierge, like in any other place, they will suggest ways to get places or places to go...so i don't think you will have trouble. And then for some tours they will pick you up or explain how to get to the meeting point.
