an engagement gift? We have been engaged for almost  ayear and I feel like I should get him a golf club or something. any one get their Fi a gift for asking THE ? ??

Are you sure he wouldn't compare that golf club to other ones that he could have gotten?

He got the best gift ever...ME :-)  Haha, I'm toatlly kidding!  But no, I did not buy FI an engagement gift.  He proposed on the same day I closed on our house so I guess you could say I bought him a place to live!  I was going to get him a nice watch but I decided to get him that for his birthday instead (which is in 3 weeks).

Nope, but he did propose on Christmas eve so I guess you could say that his Christmas gift was his present.  And I did move across the country 3 months before so we could finally live in the same place!

If you have already been engaged for a year... It may be a little late for an "engagement gift". If you want to buy him a golf club, just buy him a golf club. IMNSHO... you dont need a reason to give a gift.

I did not and he complains all the time "jokingly" that this whole process of getting married is all for us, lol he says we get everything!

I got him two tickets to see the Redskins play the Panthers. He loves both teams and they are club level seats. I hope he takes me but I told him he could take whomever he wanted.
