ok - i officially think you girls are all amazing with your do it yourself stuff. i feel like i have no graphic design ability in me - no programs, no knowledge of how to do this stuff but there is so much paper-related stuff i see that i want to do (boarding passes, luggage tags, letters etc).  do i need special programs and/or skills? are you guys just really good at this stuff or is it something i can learn?

You can learn. I usually use either power point, publisher, word, paint, or photoshop (but it's not a must have). There are some tutorials online and templates. There are some smaller stuff that the girls can help you with. Or if not there are always places where you can have them made, and not cost you and arm and a leg.

Just do like I did and beg Shelli to teach you! hahah. Really you can learn. I'm still learning all the time.

Definately just try some stuff out, you may surprise yourself.  I definately did!!

I tried and tried and tried and was completely unsuccessful at everything!  So don't stress yourself out if you just can't do it!  But I do agree that you at least try.  If you can't make it work then ask someone for help.  I have fabulous passport invitations that I love that my MOH designed after I tried unsuccefully to do it by myself.  But while she made them she showed me how.  If you get stuck there are lots of girls on here that will be willing to point you in the right direction.  Plus there are some fabulous etsy sellers that you can go to that don't cost a fortune.

ok - i guess i did make some progress- i just taught myself publisher (really for work, but im taking that skill and running with it!). you guys are encouraging .. hopefully ill be posting pics of my fab. projects before you know it. (now if only i could get the pic in my signature  to show up!!)
