Spray Tan?

Anybody ever done this before? I am curious, I think I want to do it.

I have done the Mystic and the Versa. The Versa is good, but I would recommend to follow the instructions like they say with the barrier creams. Also, the ladies at the tanning salon talked me into buying a gel base/accelerator thing for the Versa and it did work to make the tan look better, I tried it both ways. The color is really great for 3 or 4 days, then starts to fade. I always got compliments on how good my tan looked. The key to keeping it as long as possible is to moisturize a lot! I also know that people get sprayed by the employees at tanning salons, but I am too shy to do this which is why I stick to the machines.

I have done it few times. I would go do it once before you do it for a big occasion just to ensure it looks good on you and you know what you are supposed to do. You have to do about 5-6 poses (and I kept thinking, OMG, Ross from FRIENDS). Be careful about your knees, elbows, and hands. The first time I went it didn't look as good as the next couple of times because I knew what I needed to do. The first day is a little intense with the tan - mostly because you aren't supposed to shower for so many hours. I think it looks best on days 2-4. I'll do it again. I think I might do it in 2 weeks before my bridal shower.

I love spray tanning! I have done it on several occasions and think if you are comfortable enough having the employes spray you go for it!! They can do magic with the airbrush, giving your body more defined contours and having them do it also gets rid of the stress of having to make sure you get sprayed everywhere by the machine and rub it in with out streaks. Ditto to the PP about keeping your skin hydrated and I have also found if you do a good scrub with a loofa the day before you go then it will blend much nicer and last longer.

I like spray tanning... I got a package of 5 mystic tans a few months before the wedding. I still have one left... like PPs have said - be careful about your knees and elbows... I only got one funny orange toe the first time I did it - but the second time I got it down! If you want to do it, I would suggest doing a trial run! Then you will know what it is like on you before an important event. I did it before my b-pics, both showers, and right before we left for the wedding. I will do it again before our AHR! HTH! :-)
