OOT bag packing

Ladies, how are you getting your OOT bags/stuffers to your destination?  Or for that matter, your decorations and other items you are taking for your wedding?  I think I recall several people saying not to ship it, but I can't find the posts.  Are you just packing everything in suitcases and checking them?

I was wondering the same thing - I was planning on shipping a few boxes. Considering all the extra charges to check bags now I think it would be more practicial to ship. I guess just the fact that it might not get there in time would be the biggest downfall of shipping - what else?

Ok, I see you are both getting married in the US so you might be able to ship.  Make sure your hotel/WC or whoever will accept them.  I know most will not because they don't want to be responsible if something happens.

I am packing my stuff in luggage. My BM's will each carry an extra piece.I have not put together my welcome bags. Everything is packed tightly in the luggage (I have some of the smaller items in small boxes, then put the whole box into the luggage) and the bags will have to be made up once we get to Aruba.I also packed my bouquets in luggage with lots of bubble wrap and tissue paper. I think it will work fine.

I'm packing all of my stuff. Haven't decided if I'm going to stuff it in luggage, or get one of those big rubbermaid containers yet. My resort charges $3/box per day, + the cost of shipping would be ridiculous. I heard as much as $200... and with the per day charge, that would really add up since I would send it early to make sure that it arrived. I would definitely check w/ your WC and UPS to find out the cost - might be more than the extra baggage cost. HTH

Thanks, Ladies.  I'm normally a light traveller, so I cringe at the thought of fighting with extra bags.  I love the idea of having several people each take something in their suitcases though.  I can use my parents & MOH for this.  Good ideas, thanks!
