RIU Resort

Was wondering if anyone is planning a wedding at a RIU Resort or has married there.  Planning one now and would love to hear about it.Thanks!

Re: RIU Resort

  • I'm not getting married there because we chose to use the Sandals where there are no children allowed, but I've stayed at the Riu the past three years staight and loved it. It's beautiful, the staff is great and it is a little cheaper since it's a European owned resort, but the quality is excellent. I've seen many weddings there over the years and they were all nice. The only thing we didn't like about other peoples weddings we saw there is that it's not private. It's on the beach with the rest of the guest watching and we didn't like that. Just think, man in small speedo watching you get married..... I think I have a few pictures from the one in Jamaica if you would like to see them just email me or send me a fb friend request. jenniferosa@ hotmail dot com.
  • Hi!  I got married at Riu Yucatan in Playa del Carmen, MX in January.  I'm not on here much anymore, but feel free to email me at jillybean2880 at gmail dot com if you have any questions about the Riu's in PDC or general questions about Riu weddings.  GL!
  • We got married at Riu Montego Bay, which just opened last September and it was FANTASTIC!!  We love Riu resorts so getting married somewhere else was not even an option!  Feel free to email me with questions pjs2003@gmail.com. Good luck!
  • Thank you so much, Girls for your responses.  I will send emails to you for more information.~Aimee
