centerpieces

Alright girls. You've inspired me to create my own centerpieces based on my original. The only problem is I cannot find natural touch purple dendrobium orchids anywhere! (see PIB). I did find green cymbidium orchids (my other flower) but really liked the fuschia color of the other ones. So my question is should I use the green and mix it with fuschia phalaenopis orchids or use all fuschia orchids even if it's not quite the right species? Also there will be real purple dendrobium orchids sprinkled on all the tables, so maybe I don't need them in the centerpiece? Plus the rocks will be fuschia crystals lit from underneath.Lastly, do you think 3 vases of varying heights (12", 7.5" & 5") for each table or one tall vase (23")Thanks girls! Any opinions would be much appreciated! Here's some pics for reminders...Phalaenopis OrchidOriginal centerpiece:Green Cymbidium Centerpiece:

Re: centerpieces

 • I think it would be neat to have the three vases... All different levels and heights. I love your centerpieces - they are the same flowers from my wedding :-) And as far as the species go - Don't sweat it. People don't know orchids usually so they probably wouldn't even notice. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for fuschia dendrobuim orchids but can't find them. They were the main flower at our wedding and I wanted to have some at home to help me get out of my post-wedding depression... LOL... You rock, your centerpieces rock, and you have great taste :-)
 • Ditto pp! I like the idea of three varying heights. It will look beautiful!
