The Good

With Only 3 months of planning, the main vision of my wedding came to light. I woke up in the morning stress free (for the most part)- largely because I listened to the “advice from former Knotties” ( listed on various Bio’s specifically in LadyBird9’s). The RD ended up being hosted by my parents at the Beach, and turned out great. Everyone had a great time. After I woke up the second time on the Wedding day, I had to get my hair done. I was a little nervous because at the Trial my Stylist had me looking like Marie Antoinette (think a big, frizzy mess minus the birdcages poking out), But he actually listened to me, and gave me almost what I wanted. The day progressed relatively well despite some of the Drama from the evening before (see bad and Ugly). My dad and I had originally planned on walking down the aisle just us, but in the Limo from the hotel we were all staying at to the boat, we decided that we wanted my mom to join us. My sister and I lost it then and were both balling (thank goodness for waterproof mascara). Walking down the Aisle to my DH was one of the best moments of my life. Its like 50 birthdays all rolled into one. The ceremony went great (although it was a bi choppy- see funny), and we took about 1 million photos on the Boat. We got back to the Harbor and went down to the beach a took some more Photos. Afterwards the Wedding Party took a Limo to another Dock and arrived at the reception aboard my Father’s best Friend’s Boat. I think this was 2nd Favorite part of the day. We went on a mini Booze cruise and arrived along the side of the Yacht club, where the cocktail hour was taking place. Since we had quite a few guests at the reception that we not on the boat for the ceremony, it was the first time they saw me and so exciting. The Reception room has 3 glass walls that face the water and I saw all the decorations for the first time from this view. It was breathtaking. The Reception did not run the way we had planned (see bad) but overall it was still wonderful, and I know I’m being bratty everyone said it was one of the neatest wedding they had ever been to. Having a lounge area was very important to me and I so glad that we had it because the area was definitely used. I had the Photo line close line out side and it was a great touch. We had so many elements that went well, Ill list more in my “married Bio”. But overall the day was awesome. I really did have my Dream Wedding, when I think of all of us sitting out on that boat in the middle of the ocean, blue sky and the man that I love. There are some amazing Pics that our Photographer Brooke Mayo Blogged at www.brookemayo.com, or click the link in my Bio. I feel so lucky to have been a DW knottie and have one of the best wedding experiences possible.
