Thank you Lisa so much for the request from others for knottie love, thoughts and prayers!! Also, thank you to everyone for the well wishes!! Just to share a little with you all that aren't familiar with what's been going on, I was diagnosed with stage II ovarian cancer years ago. After surgery, all that was left was one ovary. Several months ago after a routine visit, it was found that the cancer had resurfaced. I've been undergoing treatment which for the most part had not been working; just recently I've had my oral meds changed up and my body is not tolerating it very well.... needless to say, it's HORRIBLE. However, I am willing to take any combination of meds they'd like for me to take, and I will suffer all that I need to before they decide to switch me to aggressive treatment... I refuse to go through all of that again!! So needless to say, I've been pretty much in a "funk" of a mood lately! You guys have cheered me up today and I want to thank you all!!

Shelli, you're most welcome!  You know that us DW knotties are like family here and when one of us is sick or confused or in a funk, EVERYONE jumps up and offers whatever she has to help that knottie out.  That's how families are.  Like I said in my email, you take the time to feel better and when you do, we'll have your place waiting here for you.... whether it's a day, a month, or a few months.  However, I feel that with all this knottie love and all these vibes headed your way (mine included), you'll be feeling a lot better in no time!  *HUG*

Hi Shelli,I'm new to this board and came across your post.  Your post touched me and I hope that by sharing a part of my family experience with Ovarian cancer it will  help your mood.  My mom was diagnosed back in late 1987.  Her prognosis wasn't good.  In fact, they gave her six months to live.  They removed a tumor the size of softball.  To make matters worse, the cancer spread and they had to remove part of her intestines.  Fortunately, after many surgeries,  the combination of radiation and chemo worked as my mom has been in remission since 1989. She also had her colostomy bag reversed; which is rare.  Needless to say, I'm so grateful that her treatment worked.    I pray that your doctors find the best treatment for you and that you feel better soon.
