Humpday Poll

So last weeks poll turned out to be a lot of fun, thought we could do another one.. When did you know FI was the "one"? What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? Do you have BOTB?

Re: Humpday Poll

  • When did you know FI was the "one"? It actually took much longer than I thought it would when I found the one. We met in July and it was not until we went to Disneyland for my birthday in December that started to take "us" seriously, by the end of that summer I knew I did not want to live without him, ever. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? So far I am having a lot of fun working on OOT bags, and door hangers. One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- I am not looking forward to making our programs, since we are doing the DW want to wait until last minute just to make sure I have the guest list right.. Coming up with a playlist for our AHR isnt coming easy either.. Yes I know that was 2 things. Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? We are heading to Disneyland right after our cruise to spend some time alone at the happiest place on earth. :) I am actually more excited about this than the cruise.. Do you have BOTB? So bad! Both of us do, however we are going to wait a year before TTC.
  • When did you know FI was the "one"?  It's hard for me to explain but I'll give it a try....when fi started making me feel like my problems weren't mine anymore that's when I knew he was the one.  I've loved before and knew that love itself wasn't going to cut it, but knowing that even through thick and thin he stuck by that's when I knew he was the one for me :o) What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Yes very much! I love planning and organizing events.  Planning our wedding has been really fun so far :o) One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- I wish I didn't care as much about who attends and who doesn't.  I know it's a weird wish haha. I want all of fi's family to be there and show him support.  But you can't expect everyone to care right? I guess that's how you know who's really got your back. Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? We're planning on taking a honeymoon on our 1 year anniversary.  Fi picked out our honeymoon location so we're going to go to Atlantis in the Bahamas.... I can't wait! Our dw location is not the same as our honeymoon location.Do you have BOTB?  What's that?
  • Yay poll! When did you know FI was the "one"? When he refused to let me go and said that he will leave everything behind move to CO with me.What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Booking the trip, plus seeing how excited FI gets about the wedding...he is counting down and he refuses to see me on my wedding dress, plus a milloin other litthe thing he does...it's super sweet :-)One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Pay for it...heheheheAre you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? FI booked an amazing hotel in Rome and we will be staying there overnight. Plus I'm planning a little honeymoon afterwards...still don't know what or where yet because I'm still far away from FI and will be until the end of the year.Do you have BOTB? Big Time! We wanted to get pregnant right away, but again, I'm still living far away from FI :-(
  • When did you know FI was the "one"? Well it definitely wasn't one of those "instant" things. It was sometime after we had been together a few months, after we both told each other "I love you". It was like... something that just happened. Like all of a sudden I was like - I am going to marry this man. I just know it. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Hmm... doing the invitations was super fun because I did them with my friend, Meghann. Planning the flowers has also been so so so fun for me! One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Oh gosh lets see... dealing with people who seem to forget this isn't their wedding. Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? We are staying a couple extra days in Cancun, that's it. I really wanted to do a "real" HM but we can't afford to take that much time off of work. FI is at a new job and won't have enough vacation time to even cover the whole wedding week sooo... we are hoping to do something the following year like a cruise or something. Do you have BOTB? NO. Well in a way I guess I do, but it's the terrified of getting PG kind of BOTB. lol.
  • Ooops! sorry trying to work and knot at the same time I didn't read the question right. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? The bridesmaid and groomsmen attire.  I made a collage to give them an idea of the look I'm trying to get.  I loved making the collages and having the style come together.
  • When did you know FI was the "one"? Oh jeeze.  If you know anything about our story, we've been together forever!  So it's really hard to pin point.  We've dated three times but have been inseparable for the last seven years.  We got back together September 29, 2002 and he spent every night at my house from that night on. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning?Dress shopping I guess.  I'm ready for it all to be over though. One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- I really don't want to plan our AHR and kinda wish we weren't having one.Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? We're staying 10 days in Jamaica, that's our DW and honeymoon.Do you have BOTB? (Baby on the brain).  Not at all.  We're not ready to give up our freedom.  Also, I would not raise children in our current neighborhood and my work schedule is too demanding.  We need to figure out lots of things before babies enter our world.
  • Yay Humpday Poll! When did you know FI was the "one"? The cute answer - the first night we met. We were set up by my cousin and his best friend (who are now married). We went to their house-warming party, and were surrounded by all married or engaged couples. So the very bizzare thought popped in my head - "What if he's the one?". When did I know for real? A few months later when I realized he was my best friend :)What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Dress shopping and finally deciding on a destination! And...I LOVE this Board. My experience would be so different without it.One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- I second PP - Pay for it! Ha!Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? Honeymoon is rolled into the wedding. We aren't going anywhere seperate or alone. I hope to take a trip to celebrate our 1st Anniversary (provided we've recovered financially -tee hee).Do you have BOTB? Someday. We talk about kids a lot, but also agree we want to just enjoy being married for a few years before TTC.

  • When did you know FI was the "one"? Well, from the moment we had our first date I knew he was so special. His smile, his eyes, and his personality was everything I was looking for. During the summer we went to OC Md and there we had an amazing time together. That's when I knew he was my soulmate. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Being engaged and finding this board! I haven't planned much but I have a good idea of everything I want after looking at most knotties bio. This is the best board ever... <3 u ladies! One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Pay for it. Just saving the money makes me sad to see it all go in one day. But I know it will be worth it. I do wish I was rich so it wouldn't hurt as much lolAre you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? Yes we are planning a honeymoon, it will be a tour of Italy, France, and Spain for 14 days. Yaaayyyy the best part (that won't hurt as much when we pay for it)! LOLDo you have BOTB? I'm not exactly sure what the letters meaning but i know is baby related. We already have a beautiful baby boy (3y/o) and we want 2-3 more. Hopefully we get pregnant during the honeymoon. I'll keep you posted!

Dress shopping :-) One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Ummm..... not sure b/c I don't have much to do! Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? We are planning an honeymoon one year after our wedding hopefully to Greece! Do you have BOTB? It comes and goes. Right now it's gone because our poor furbaby has fleas and it makes me sad, plus it's so much work!

  • When did you know FI was the "one"? I knew pretty much right away.... Even though we were very young, he helped me through a lot of things 14 years should never have to see or deal with! He was an angel sent to me to get me through a tough time in my life, which ended up saving me.What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? Picking out colors BM dresses and groomsmen attireOne thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Well I wish that I didn't have to invite my WHOLE family... I wanted it to be small and intimate, but I am too close with my aunts, uncles, and cousins to not have them with me.  I am the oldest grandchild and first to get married so I was pressured to having the whole family down there. Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? Our HM is the same spot as our wedding.  Well I am calling it a "minimoon" since it will only be 3 days after we are married.  Next year we are going to go on a cruise for an official "honeymoon"Do you have BOTB?  Yes and No.  I really would like to continue with school and possibly go for my Nurse Practitioner, which is now requiring a Doctoral degree.I do like my freedom and being able to get up and go whenever I want.... but I just did my maternity rotation and seen how ADORABLE babies are!!

  • When did you know FI was the "one"? It's hard to pinpoint an exact time. We have been pretty much inseperable since we became "official." Right from the beginning I knew the way I felt about him was different from the way I felt about all the other guys, and the relationship always felt serious, like having a casual relationship was never an option for us. So I guess right from the start. What have you enjoyed most about wedding planning? All of it! I have absolutely loved being engaged and planning this wedding. It has been so much fun. I think I've loved dress shopping the most though. One thing you wish you did not have to do for your wedding- Stress over people being on time and enjoying themselves. I know shouldn't, but I know I will.Oh, and I am really tired of planning this freaking honeymoon. Are you planning a honeymoon, is it your DW location or something else? Our honeymoon is seperate from the DW. We're taking two weeks and traveling around the Keys and the rest of FL. It will be fun when the time comes, but right now it's the biggest freaking pain in the arse trying to plan. It's been a nightmare.Do you have BOTB? A little bit, especially because recently FI and I had to make a decision about whether or not I should change contraceptive methods. The discussion of course had to include how long we want to wait. I don't think we'll actively try for awhile, but we wouldn't be disappointed if we had a happy accident. A part of me is still scared about being a mom though.
