Oct WL challenge

How did you do, girls?I gained a pound and I don't know why :( I'm chalking it up to the fact that I worked out hard on Wednesday so my muscles are retaining water. That's all I can really think of, since I was pretty good this week.

  • I'm sorry you gained :-( Maybe it's just muscle weight from lifting more. My first month with my trainer I gained at first then by the end of the month I was back to what I started at that month. It may take your body time to adjust to the new routine. I lost 1LBS this month and have no clue how, but I'll take it!

  • Allison I am right with you-1.5 pds gained and it makes NO sense.  Might be muscle or retained weight??  Ugh.

  • I've been waiting for this post all morning b/c I finally have good news =) I lost 2.5lbs! Woot woot! It made my day. Ali~I'm going to agree w/ pp about the muscle weight b/c when I first started lifting weights I gained a few pounds before anything came off. What's funny is if I missed a couple days I would lose like 3lbs. I'm pretty sure I was losing muscle weight =)

    1st clomid cycle 50mg June 2012- No response :: HSG August 2012- Left tube blocked, right tube clear :: 2nd clomid cycle 100mg Aug. 2012 ovulated August 15th BFN :: 3rd clomid cycle 100mg Sept. 2012 ovulated Sept 17th :: BFP Sept 30th DS born 6/15/13 ::BFP #2 Oct 2014 DD born 7/1/15 :: applied to be a surrogate April 2017 :: Transferred 1 embryo for IFs Dec 2017 :: EDD 9/9/18

  • I some how lost FOuR pounds :). Ive been eating healthy lunches uped my veggie and fruit intake and have been running three miles every night :) Ali and jamie it will get better. If you able to I highly suggest running. My sister has lost about 60-70 pounds and has become a marathoner and all she does is runs, watches what she eats but has a beer with every dinner. It's roughly 100 calories burned for every mile you run. Keep it up ladies :)

  • I would looooove to start running. I'm a weenie though and can only run for about two blocks before I have to stop. I told my personal trainer that I want to start running, so she's going to work with me on it. FI also got me a new ipod for my b-day, and I'm going to order the nike+ipod sport pack that tracks your time & distace. It has a program (much like the Couch to 5k program) that helps you go from no running at all to running a 5 k in 12 weeks. It takes you through intervals of walking & running...tells you when to walk/when to run. The nice part is that you do it to your own music, unlike Podrunner. I'm so excited to get it!
  • I bought Aaron the Nike iPod thing a few years ago for his birthday. He LOVES it.... although he hasn't used it in awhile.

  • Nice work Holly!! I wish I could run more. I used to hate it w/ a passion, but now that I think I might actually enjoy it I can't do it. I have something wrong w/ my legs where if I run on a hard surface for too long from my knees down hurt so bad I can barely walk and the bottoms of my feet go numb. It sucks! I can go on the elliptical all day b/c there's pretty much no impact, but I like running outside

  • You girls are so sweet.  I don't know how I did.  I have had a very small appetite, but I have been making sure I am eating, especially fruits and veggies if I don't feel hungry.  I have the nike+ and am in love with it.  I am in love with allot of things today :)  I was getting terrible side shin splints, so bad I caused a stress fracture.  I went to Road Runner, it's a national running store, and they have you run on a treadmill barefoot and measure your arch and they hooked me up with a great pair of shoes, I would have never tried otherwise and new insoles.  I just put my nike+sensor in my shoe laces and put tape over it.  Okay, I must get of the Knot before someone at work catches me ;)
