My bridal shower was on Sunday and it was a great success! (Yes, in my head I did just say that in the Borat voice)It was really fun, it moved along quickly because it was from 12-3, which I thought was perfect. I got to spend some time chatting with everyone, so I think that means the exact right amount of people showed up
I got to see some people I would normally only see a couple times a year, and to my surprise my aunt & cousin (who I haven't seen in like 5 years) came! Yay! They only live about 1.5 hours away, but there was some family turmoil so we haven't seen them in a while. I was thrilled they came, and they seemed genuinely happy to be there so that's good.On top of it all we got some awesome things off of our registry! This couldn't have come at a better time because we will be moving into our house soon and had nothing. We got towels and who would ever think I would get so excited over towels?! lol. My brother and his girlfriend - who is also my BM - got us a set of our dishes!!! Wow, I still can't believe they did that. Not even speaking about the monetary gifts, but just the gift of everyone showing up - it really is a reminder of how lucky I am to have such awesome people in my life, and to be gaining a whole other family that I really like. That's huge.
