Luxe Destination Weddings

Has anyone used Luxe Destination weddings service?  I am seriously considering using them and was hoping to hear from someone else who has.  Any feedback would be appreciated!

I researched them when I started planning, but I noticed on my many scouting trips to various "high-end venues," they were not on the preferred vendor list. In some instances, a venue will not allow you to book your wedding without agreeing to use preapproved vendors. Also, in my experience scouting luxury hotels, few are willing to negotiate group rates. For better or worse, the group rate is the group rate because these hotels are rarely hard pressed for business. Others may offer different experiences, but I wanted to choose all my own vendors (photog, stationer, etc), so I ended up hiring an offsite team of planners that were preapproved by my venue. Sidenote: I just looked at their website again, and they use a picture of the venue I got married at (One&Only Palmilla) on their 'About Luxe' page. I know for a fact that the photo is a stock photo from the Palmilla website, and I'm pretty sure they were not on the approved vendor list I received from Palmilla last winter. Upon looking further, I do not see proof that they have actually planned an event there. That seems a bit strange to me... Good luck!

I have not-I chose destinationweddings.com-and they pretty much arrange the travel, not the wedding..I hope someone on here can help you but I don't know of anyone using them..I am sorry!

Just to jump in here... search Luxe Weddings reviews and you will be shocked at what you find. I was! There are many many bad reviews on this company ( to the extent of people losing thousands of dollars because of "unexpected costs"). Please do not put yourself through this stress. Usually, if you pick a resort you will get a wedding coordinator free of charge assigned to you. And all the wodnerful ladies here could not be of mroe help for you to plan your wedding. Unless you personally know of someone who has used their services, and was happy, do not use them as teh reviews are pretty sketchy. I am trying to get a deposit from our MIA photographer for the past 3 months - it's more than stressful and it's only a couple of hundred dollars. Good luck!

OMG!!! Thank you everyone.  I am so glad that I posted on here before I made a commitment to Luxe.  I decided not to make a commitment to them and in fact I am going to try do more research to find a resort that will accomodate a wedding.  Any suggestions for a great resort??  I am open to anywhere that would allow me to have my wedding on the beach.
