Info Card question (long)

Hey guys, I am working on my invitations and was curious what you guys included on your information cards. I mailed out a wedding info packet with our save the dates and have a bunch of info on our website (sappahandgodbey.ourwedding.com). Just in case people cannot locate their info packets, should I also include the info on the invites ?

Here are the things I could include but have to cut down because the card can only fit so much.
1 - Contact information for our concierge (all wedding activities will be booked through her)
2 - How to book accommodations (we have rented an entire property of villas and people will be sending me money directly to reserve their rooms). I did not know if I should put costs and how to book directly on the invitation info card.
3 - Transportation options (guests can rent a car from the main airport, fly to a smaller airport closer to the housing and arrange a taxi to transport them, or take a shuttle that they can arrange through us --- we are more than likely paying for the shuttles).
4 - Driving directions for people who are driving. (There will probably not be too many people driving)
5 - Wedding Itinerary
6 - Weather & What to bring (rainly season alert !)
7 - Area information (map, activities, restaurants, groceries)

What did you guys include on your info cards ? Should I simply put the wedding website and concierge contact or do I need to provide more details ?

Thanks for any adviceLaughing

Re: Info Card question (long)

  • Wow, that is a lot of info and I am not sure how I would put that on a card in your invite.

We printed a seperate card directing guests to our website and our phone #s for any accomodation questions. I think you already did pretty amazing with relaying this info to them with the packets so I wouldnt worry about doing it all over again.

  • We are in the process of working on our invitations but I think we will have a card that says "accomodations" and will outline the pricing, who to contact, etc. I think you could present 1, 2 and 3 on here. We will also have a separate card that is an intinerary/outline of wedding weekend events. All of this information will also be available on our website.

I think for the other stuff -- driving directions (since not that many), weather and area information -- you can include on your website since it's not really "must have information."

  • We did ticket style invites and on one card we put booking information and on another we put important information like our website, that passports are required, average weather for Jamaica, wedding dress code and example of that for men and woman.  I plan on putting together OOT bags with a welcome letter, wedding day itinerary, a resort map, and what to do in Jamaica all in there instead of in the invite because that is a lot to put on an invitation.  I put on the website some of the information and noted on there for people to please check our website for more information about the resort, wedding and the couple.

    Hope that helps!

  • I think if you already sent out the info with your STDs then you shouldn't worry about it with the invites. I sent out a separate info card about 2 months ago, because we hadn't finalized transportation and hotel info when I sent the STDs. I will not be including all that info again with my invites, but like PP, I will be putting letter in my welcome bags for guests with map, itinerary and such...
