Accountability

Hi ladies! Happy Tuesday! What’s on the docket today for working out and eating? I had a longer run this morning and it started to sprinkle halfway through, but luckily I didn’t get hit by any major rain… I really am not a fan of running in the rain (I’ll do it, but prefer not to). This morning, I had cereal for breakfast and lunch is leftover pasta (I made chicken enchilada pasta, it was so good… probably not the healthiest though!). Tonight we are going to Chipotle, my favorite ever! I get the burrito bol so less calories without the tortilla.

Have a healthy day!

  • Great work ladies! Glad to see you back at it Jenn.

I went to the gym last night. Did 40 minutes on the treadmill and then worked-out with my trainer for half an hour. It was a good work-out. My butt muscles are hurting today!

I've been doing well with Paleo. I started eating some seafood about a month ago cause I wasn't getting enough protein for my work-outs, as well as being low in some vitamins.  It's helped with doing Paleo.

I didn't have any problems yesterday, except for feeling a little sluggish.  However, I think that was from not getting enough sleep the night before. Drew had a headache yesterday though. I think because he eats more sugar and drinks coffee. I'm sure he was going through withdrawals. My daughter was fine, too.

Breakfast: mushrooms, onion and carrots sauteed in coconut oil with a fried egg on top
    Lunch: broiled salmon and broccolinni
Snacks: mixed raw nuts, figs and apple
Dinner: coconut pumpkin soap and grilled shrimp
  • Kimmy – So glad to hear that Paleo is going well! I’m assuming they tell you that the first few days are the hardest?

  • Lora- Yes, they do. Cravings, withdraws, etc. I gave up soda a long time ago and I already don't drink coffee, so I think that's helped. As well as, everyone in the house doing it with me.  My daughter was sad saying no to all the treats and pasta her friends had at school yesterday, but she did it.  Drew no longer has the headache he had yesterday.

Miss Kimmy, what is this Paleo you speak of?  Sounds tough.

I haven't been posting consistently, but I've been working out consistently!  Boom!  I've been going to fitness classes all during the week every week at my college gym.  Yesterday was Zumba, and today was the power yoga that I've fallen in love with.  I didn't like it at first since I'm more used to the slower yoga, but now it's my favorite class.  There aren't any evening classes scheduled next week during exams (which seems completely counter productive to me.. shouldn't they have more classes if anything to help students destress?  amirite?), and then we have break for two weeks, so I have no idea wtf I'm going to do.  I'm always spot on, A+ when I can go to classes, but when I'm left to my own devices, my routine falls apart and I backslide on all of the progress I've made.  I've been doing so well though, so I'm determined not to let that happen.  Not sure what I'm going to come up with.  Graagghhh.

    Love you ladies!
