Done and done. Once we got the manager on the phone who wasn't completely out of her mind, things got handled quickly. We called the courts later this week just to make sure they held their end of the bargain and dropped the charges they had wrongfully filed against us. All clear (knockonwood). Eegad, what a nightmare! We still owe them a few hundred dollars for their having to replace the carpets, but all things considered, I'll take it and call it a draw.
Blugh. Now back to funner stuff and settling into Vermont!
