Another dress on plane question

Sorry, I didn't want to thread jack...

This is probably a question for the airline but was your dress considered your one carry on?  Or did they let you have a carry on bag and the dress?  If it makes a difference I am flying Caribbean Airlines.

My dress counted as a Carry-on/personal item.  I flew American Airlines and they allow 1 carry on and 1 personal item.  So I had a small roll -on luggage and my dress.

I would however call your airline in advance and double check what the policy is as they are different per airline. And even possibly flight.

Venus beat me to it. I plan on assuming my dress counts as my carry-on. Or possibly FI's carry-on.

Since my dress will be enough to manage, I plan on only carrying that and my purse.  The men have it so easy!!!

I just checked, CA specifies one carry one and one personal.  Looks like my dress and my purse

We flew westjet and they have 2 carry ons per person so we had my dress and his suit and a small duffle bag and a backpack for our laptop. You can definitely call your airline!

Yes, your dress counts as your carry-on. But, it looks like it's already covered. Be warned, if you caller the airline, many will say you can't carry it on. But, you can. Don't worry when they say that.
