So, DH and I are pretty broke this year with the wedding and everything and are really cutting back for Christmas.  I have only bought one gift so far for SIL from Best Buy.  It was late on a week night and the place wasn't busy.  Yesterday, we went to Kohl's because I needed a baby gift.  I never shop at Kohl's but had a GC.  It was INSANE!  So this inspired my poll:

Where is your favorite place to do your Christmas shopping?

Where is your favorite place to do your Christmas shopping? We have crap for stores here, so I normally do most of mine online (Amazon is a big one because of free shipping). This year my favorite place was Etsy

Do you like the crowds? They don't generally bug me too much, but every now and then I have a freak out in Costco if I can't get through the aisles.

Are you cutting back this year because of wedding/economy? A bit, but not too much. We're trying to cut back on junk for the stockings....I'm a huge stocking fan (it's basically my favorite part of Christmas) and usually go way overboard...for instance: for the past two years we've had to do Christmas Baskets instead of stockings because all of the stuff wouldn't fit into the stockings. So this year I'm cutting waaaay back on stocking loot. My goal is to have everything fit in the stocking.

Have you done most of your shopping already? Most of it. I'm waiting for it to be shipped to me. I still have to pick up some stocking stuffers, and I have to buy something for my mom...and for FSIL, but I've got pretty much everything else done.

Where is your favorite place to do your Christmas shopping?
The liquor store!  We always get DH's grandpa a nice bottle of scotch and I pick up several bottles of wine to take to parties.  Sometimes we get a bottle of something as part of SBIL's gift too.  I love this part of my shopping.  I might start getting all of my gifts there.  It's not crazy busy and the people are always very helpful in suggesting good bottles to buy.

Do you like the crowds?
I don't mind it as long as I'm not in a hurry.  It actually helps me get in the spirit.  Well unless people are rude.

Are you cutting back this year because of wedding/economy?
Definately.

Have you done most of your shopping already?
Nope.  I have been diligently working on photo books for the parents though.

My favorite place to do Christmas shopping is online, like Amazon. Oddly enough I have only gotten FI's gift, and one part of my moms gift online. Everything else I found in store because I didn't want to pay for shipping.

I HATE the crowds.

We are cutting back this year. Usually it's like - whatever goes. This year we set a $30 limit with everyone, and FI & I set a $60 limit for each other (which he informed me he went WAY over, and I'm not pleased).

Yep! Thankfully I only have 1 more present to buy, and it's an easy one for my brothers girlfriend. A sixer of Red Bull, I can pick that up anywhere.

This is part of my moms gift, which I am so pleased with this year! LOL. She loves to drink tea.

Where is your favorite place to do your Christmas shopping? This is hard since everyone likes/wants something different. I like Bronners because c'mon who doens't like a new ornament for the tree!

Do you like the crowds? They don't bother me too much but I HATE how rude people can be this time of year with shopping. I litterally had someone take something out of my cart at Target Friday.  She said she couldn't find it.... well 1)ask me where I found it and 2) Don't take it out of me flippin cart!

Are you cutting back this year because of wedding/economy? Yes, we set a 30 dollar limit on everyone that we have to buy for which adds up quickly with the amount of family we have.

We went out all day friday to the huge mall near Detroit and got everyone their presents.  I said "If I didn't get you a present Friday, I'm not buying your anything" I don't like going to the mall so close to xmas becuase people are rude and they start getting to picked over.

Yeah! WTF?! Crazy. That's exactly why I hate thw crowds. People get crazy and rude, and more than normal where I live.

It was a flippin kids toy! One of those crayola kid wonder thingys.  So I kinda was just like " Um... EXCUSE ME!" needless to say I get it back! I was a little hot about it! Seriously walk your fat a$$ down 2 isle over and grab it yourself!!

We are cutting back on just our gifts to each other.  Only stocking stuffers for us this year!

No, I'm not nearly as close to being done as I'd like to be or have been in the past!!!

Well living where there are no malls, most of my shopping is done online, but when I do visit the states, the first place I go is JCPenney.  Crowds don't bother me so much as long as people aren't acting crazy and the lines move good.  We are not really cutting back to much, the biggest expense we have at christmas is flying to Oralndo.  We normally fly out Christmas eve and fly back New Years Eve since those are the two cheapest days to travel.  And most of our shopping is done, just have a few small odd and ends to pick up and stocking stuffers.  Since we stay at my mom's for Christmas, I just order stuff online and have it shipped right to her house that way we don't have to tavel with anything and I take an empty suitcase to get stuff that we get as gifts and all the stuff we buy while up there back home.

I like novelty stores where I can find unique gifts to suit a specific person, I love Big Lots and Value city for this.  I also do a lot of shopping online if I find stuff I like- I just bought FSIL a "Vegetarian Vampire" shirt and my lil sis an "Imprinted" shirt!!!

Do you like the crowds? Not anymore, I never used to mind them, but people get crazy and rude and I just can't stand their attitudes anymore.

Where is your favorite place to do your Christmas shopping? The mall - online isn't as good in Canada, although I think I'll be using etsy for a lot of birthday gifts in the following year - shipping is pretty good from there.

Do you like the crowds? I don't mind them if I have lots of time, but they do wear on me over time.

Are you cutting back this year because of wedding/economy? Significantly - we did a draw for both of our families so we're buying only one present instead of one for everyone.  Mike and I aren't doing presents really either - instead we bought a rug for our new house.

I don't really have a favorite. All of my family members are so different, I can never get anything at one store!

They normally don't bother me too much. However, if what happened to Misty happened to me, I would have lost it too! I think the worst part is parking. You either have to A) Stalk someone as they are leaving the store or Park a mile away!

Yes we are cutting back a lot! We are only getting gifts for our nephews since they wont understand why they aren't getting presents.

Haha! Yeah right, that would imply that I am not a procrastinator!

Kohls, Ross, and now Gordman's... I wish they had a Gordman's in Vegas.
