So I’m going to do my G/B/U post a bit different…  I want to recap my wedding as it played out so I don’t want really want to break up the events… but I’m pretty sure the G/B/U about it is self-explanatory…lol ... If you don't want to read the whole thing, you can scroll to the bottom and I'll highlight the G/B/U.
Let me start out by saying that my wedding day was one of the most amazing days of my life… it still feels like it was a dream and it really didn’t happen.  I couldn’t have asked for a better time J
I started my morning waking up next to Louie…  I felt like I had been ran over by a truck L We went out the night before after our welcome dinner and we drank a little too much!  To give you and idea, I found myself on the floor of the bathroom just hours before it was time to wake up for my wedding!  It was a rough morning…  I highly recommend limiting alcohol consumption the night before your wedding.
I took a shower and got dressed and left the room to meet my mom, kids, and matron of honor for breakfast.  I gave my now husband a kiss goodbye.. I may or may not have been a bit obnoxious singing and dancing around the room saying “it’s our wedding day”  lol…. He did find it a bit amusing.
Breakfast time was really nice…  I started feeling the nerves and excitement J I had some fruit and coffee and felt a lot better. Our hair appts were scheduled for 10 am for the girls and 11 am for me.  So after breakfast we went over to the spa for our up-do’s.  My sister-in-law/bridesmaids met us there.  Everyone’s hair came out great!  I had a hair trial the day before and am very glad that I did.  My hair the day of the wedding came out GREAT!  My photographers meet us at the Spa and were supposed to do pics of getting ready, but the Ladies at the spa worked sooo fast that I was already done when they showed up.  BUT they did catch me still working on my shoes…  YUP  I was at the spa still gluing crystals on my ivory heels!  It was a little nuts.
After the spa we went back to my room to start getting ready. My sister-in –law did my make-up which I was thrilled with.  She did a fabulous job!  You would have thought she did make up regularly!
While I was getting my make-up done our photographers went over to Louie’s room to take pictures of the guys getting ready.  However, there was an issue with the Videographer’s day pass and the front desk wouldn’t let him up to the room.  So they had to call Louie to take care of it… problem is, Louie knew none of the information of what I did!  So he spent an hour trying to clear up the issue…. Which meant the photographers were now behind 1 hour L They finally got to take the pics and give Louie his gift…  He LOVED his album and jersey!  He was definitely shocked J
The photographers then came to our room to do the rest of my getting ready shots…which were a bit rushed.  At the last minute they gave me the gift Louie sent me.  I had to rush to open it since we were short on time.  I was truly surprised!!  He had a diamond pendant/necklace made to match my ring!  It was beautiful and perfect since I didn’t get a necklace and really wanted one to wear for my wedding day!
We then started heading to our first look location.  It was sooooo HOT on the resort, I thought I was going to melt!  We did our first look and wow did I think my hubby looked handsome!  He seemed to be really surprised to see me and we really enjoyed the few minutes alone that we had before the ceremony started. Since we were running late we didn’t get a chance to do any of the bridal party pics on the resort that I wanted L
After the first look, it was time for all the guest to board the bus to go to the ceremony.  Well they sent a bus for about 40 people that really only fit 30!  So some of my guests had to go in the bus and the rest in the van that was supposed to be for me and my girls.  Which meant that we had to wait about 20 minutes for the guests to get dropped off and the van to come back to pick me up.  Since it was SOOO hot me, my bridesmaids, my son and my mom ended up going into the souvenir shop to wait and cool off.  Lol
Finally the van came to pick us up and we headed to the ceremony.
We arrived at the Jellyfish Beach Restaurant and everything looked sooo beautiful!  My vision of Vintage Glam really came to life!  Everything about the ceremony was perfect!  There was even a really nice breeze on the beach…  All the guests were very comfortable.  Everyone loved the twist I put on the sand ceremony and  I was on cloud nine.
Right after the ceremony, the wait staff was waiting at the end of the ailse passing out the most delicious passion fruit mojitos I had ever tasted!  We then started doing some beach photos with our bridal party… and out of nowhere the sky started looking a bit dark and ugly.  So we decided to wait till sunset to take more pictures.  We went back into the restaurant and all of the sudden the wind picked up BAD!  We had this beautiful centerpiece on our sweetheart table that toppled over and shattered… Sand was blowing everywhere and getting in people’s faces..  I started getting a little nervous and I didn’t want anyone getting hurt.  As if that wasn’t enough, it then started STORMING!  Everything was getting wet..  The restaurant is an open-air restaurant so the wait staff was then rushing to get the “walls” lowered. And my family was trying to tell me that everything was going to be ok.
My videographer (who was AH-MAZING!) kept telling me it wasn’t going to last long.  He then told me and Louie to go with him.  He took us up to the second floor of the restaurant where there were these pretty white canopy beds.  He took some video of us while our photographers captured some of my favorite shots of the day.  By the time we were done, the rain had stopped!  There was a BEAUTIFUL rainbow in the sky!
Just then my son started to have a tantrum!  He started crying and wouldn’t stop.  He was sooo jealous and upset with me.  He kept saying that it wasn’t fair that I thought I could do whatever I wanted and that I didn’t love him anymore and that he wanted me far away from Louie.  I was so stressed… I had to take my son for a walk on the beach to try and calm him down.
With all the hecticness, again we missed the opportunity to take a lot of the pictures that I wanted with my bridal party and guests on the beach L
When it was time to do the Bridal Party entrance, they started playing the music (Party Rock by LMFAO) the moms danced in and it was sooo cute… and then… POWER OUTAGE!  In the whole area L Luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes but we didn’t re-do the entrance.
After that I thought nothing else could go wrong…  We did our 1st dance in the restaurant and it was beautiful.  We ate dinner and everyone loved it!  After we cut the cake, I changed into my second dress and everyone was surprised!
We then went out to the dance floor.  We rented a LED dance floor and it was a hit!!!  That dance floor was packed the whole night!  We had a great party crowd and our DJ was awesome!  I do think it helps that we like Latin music so he really knew how to keep everyone dancing.  We kicked off the dancing with a bachata that Louie and I started dancing alone while everyone held sparklers.  When the sparklers were out the DJ opened the dance floor for the 2nd half of the song.  It was GREAT!!!!  About an hour after dancing it was time for the fire show.  We had 3 fire dancers and they put on a awesome show.  Everyone was surprised and loved it!  After the fire show the Dance floor was packed again.  Everyone was dancing and drinking and having a blast.. it was like a beach night club!
Then… just when I thought that everything that could have gone wrong already passed, one of Louie’s friends girlfriends got SUPER sick!  She had an allergic reaction to passion fruit!  It was bad… they had to rush her back to the resort medic.  Luckily she was fine, but it was scarey!
It didn’t ruin the night but it did have me worried…
We continued to dance the night away! Everyone had a blast, our photographers had a blast, our videographers had a blast even the wait staff had a blast!!!  My videographer who does weddings in Puntaa Cana all the time even said that it was a great wedding to work at J
Around midnight we decided to wrap up the party and head back to the resort.  We wanted to try and get a few hours of sleep before our TTD session the next morning.
We woke up at 5 am the day after the wedding to get ready for a 6 am shoot.  It was sooo worth it.  I loved spending that time with my new husband… We took some shots around the resort, then we jumped in the pool and then had a make-out session on the beach… It was fantastic!  I am sooo in love with the TTD teasers I have seen so far.  And my dress still looks great!
Overall it was an amazing magical day!  I can’t believe it’s over L
