My dress is here!

I just had my final dress fitting and I got to take my dress home with me. FI was so cute, I asked him to come help me get everything out of the car and he knew I had the dress, so he closed his eyes and walked backwards! ahahah I told him the dress was in a bag and he couldn't see it. We also got our marriage license, I was hoping they would marry us today, but they were too busy, so we scheduled it for next Friday (we are having a symbolic ceremony).

Question, did any of you buy a steamer? I need suggestions on a little portable one I can take with me to steam my dress. TIA

Yay for your dress!!  I am hoping to get mine soon too.

As for the steamer, my parents have a small handheld that was about $20 or so and my seamstress said that would be fine.  She also said we could hang it in the bathroom after running a hot shower and that would do it too.

yay!!!  I was happy to bring my dress home too, although it is currently at my mother's house b/c FI has no will power and blatantly admitted that he will go into my closet and look at the dress.  Kudos to your FI for having the will power lol!

YAY! Nicole, mine is at my mom's (well, currently the seamstress, but was at my mom's) for the exact same reason! He saw it in the bag but the bag was pretty opaque lol.

YAY! I kept my house at my mom's, too. We took a small handheld steamer with us and my mom steamed it for me. It was just a cheap handheld one. It worked out great.
