Hey everyone, finally had a chance to get on and catch up with some posts lol!
Home sick today booo... but atleast then I have time to get on here a bit...

Oh no sorry you're not feeling well.  I think I'm coming down with a cold, trying so hard to fight it!! 
I ordered our xmas cards from Shutterfly and they came in the mail on Tuesday so now I have to address and send them out.  Also finished my mom's scrapbook!

I need to finish our menus and work with my FBIL on our maps so I can do the welcome letters.  Tomorrow I'm at the 3 month mark!!!

I'm working then heading to my parents for dinner since FI works until 7.  We might go see his mother in the hospital tonight but he's there now and it's an hour away so that's very up in the air.  Other than that I'll be doing homework from now until forever, maybe it's a good thing I don't have cable or internet at home yet! haha!

Oh no Britt, I hope your not getting what I had. I'm still not feeling the best and it will be two weeks this Sunday.I'm hoping this prescription I got kicks in! I just got back from shopping, was just a quick trip. Tomorrow I'm going to the big mall in Philly! I'm hoping to go to the Hard Rock for dinner tonight. We've been to the one in Philly lots but we still love going to it, if you saw in my bio we try to get to alot of Hard Rock restaurants to collect pins and shot glasses!

Britt- Feel better.

Monica- I haven't even though about cards, yet.  A few years ago I switched to mailing out New Years cards.  That way I can do it after the holidays and have the whole month of Jan to get them out!

Beck- Good Luck with the homework.

Jenn- I wish I was going out of town.

I have work all day today and the gym tonight. I went to the doctor's yesterday and got put on this whole plan.  I'm going to do a whole other post on it and see if anyone wants to do it with me.

I can't believe its Thursday already!! 

Last night we went to my parents for dinner and had another heart to heart, which was really good, but it still left me wondering if my step mom thinks that our relationship is doomed to fail.  She can be negative in a round about way.  It's really weird.  But my dad did seriously offer up their house in Royal Palm Beach, FL for wedding festivities if we wanted, which both FI and I are really appreciative of.  Anyways...I think that tonight after work I am going to get my nails done while FI gets his hair cut.  Not really exciting but sometimes not exciting is nice.

Kimmy sounds interesting, please post! I'm glad to get away right now, but bored when FI is at drill during the day. Thank god there's lots of shopping in Philly! Cathy ignore your step mom! That's nice that your dad is offering his house, are you gonna take him up on his offer?

Jenn - We don't know yet about the house.  FI & I haven't really had a chance to discuss it yet.  My parents even said that they would check some things out when they go down there after Christmas for the winter.  It is definitely something that we are going to look into more though.

Monica - You're ahead of me that's for sure, we picked up some generic Christmas cards and haven't even thought about them yet, they are just sitting on the coffee table.

Angela - Enjoy the time wtihout the internet/cable, you'll get WAY more done then when you get it hooked up again! lol

Jenn - Get better!!!! That's too long to be fighting one bug! I have only ever been to one Hard Rock in my life, and it was while chaperoning a highschool band trip for my friend's class (he's a teacher) to Chicago, but I loved it!

Cathy - I just read your other post and she seems to be 'special'. I wouldn't take anything she says to heart, she has issues if that's what she truly believes is appropriate to say!

Kimmy – I’ll check out your other post! I am officially giving up soda as of today. I’ve tried millions of times before, but hoping this time it sticks. I am so hooked on Mt. Dew!

 

 

Nothing much going on here, I went out to lunch with some old coworkers so it was fun to catch up. We aren’t doing anything tonight but catching up on TV shows. I am FINALLY in the last few stages of the afghan I’ve been knitting since June (seriously…) and HOPEFULLY will have it put together either tonight or tomorrow. I’ll have to post a picture (that is if it turns out haha).

Ugh i'm sorry Britt I am home sick today too!  I have pink eye and was out yesterday too.  I am home today too because I am still contagious.  Secretly though I am pretty happy to be home because it is snowing and freezing outside!  I need to work on homework though, but I am so not motivated!

Lora - giving up soda is a good step, I've been on FI for a while to give up soda. He does good for a few weeks but then has to start all over.  And white rice. Getting him to eat brown rice or couscous is quite difficult.

Definite boo to pink eye! I have a sinus infection that is causing a BIG sinus headache... the meds I had work for a VERY short period of time so stayed home to hit the dr and get something new (and stronger).
Now I should be cleaning the kitchen, but I don`t want to.... so I do a tiny bit and then come back to what I`m enjoying more.... decorating the livingroom for Christmas lol

Ah home from work. And tomorrow is Friday. So looking forward to this week being over. Monday I had a stomach virus (so horrible - being sick like that sucks) and Tuesday I had a deposition that took WAY too long. But a cold front came through so we have had the windows open in the house for 2 days - so nice to air everything out!

Giving up soda can be tough - I had to ween my FI off it. He had the WORST habit. All the time he was drinking it. I very rarely drink soda - and if I do its fresca or sprite zero

Lora~ I am a sodaaholic! I'm starting to wean myself as well. I used to drink only Pepsi breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was so bad I drank nothing else. Then I cut back and started drinking some water or OJ. Then I cut back to diet Pepsi and will drink green tea. Now I only drink water at work and only have diet Pepsi at home. To me it's like trying to quit smoking, I never smoked but I think it's the same addiction.
