Thinking about doing a Europe Wedding. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I am looking into the option of a European Cruise Wedding?  Has anyone ever booked one?  I am thinking about staying in Europe for a few days before the cruise and getting married then going on the cruise.  We were thinking about Spain or Italy.

  • Sounds amazing! We are going to Spain for our honeymoon.

  • Awesome I have been to Spain & Italy and would recommend both =) Let me know if you have specific questions about either location.

    Congrats.

  • Sounds great!!! I'm getting married in Spain this summer. Are you thinking of a Mediterranean cruise? Or something north? Be sure to check residency requirements when figuring out where you'll actually get married - some countries are pretty strict - and of course it varies from country to country. I've heard of people getting a lot of good help from wedding coordinators in the country, and they'll have a lot of experience helping non-EU citizens with any requirements.

What part of Spain are you getting married in? Did you use a wedding coordinator?
  • I'm getting married in Mallorca, an island off the east coast. My fiance is from there, so I didn't use a coordinator - we have lots of relatives helping us pull things together. A few months ago, there was a girl on here (who, it seems, has since deleted her account), who is getting married on the next island over and she was working with a coordinator.

I've heard Italy has less strict residency requirements than Spain, but then again, this other bride wasn't a resident and the planner found a way to make it work!
