Any help is appreciated from recent brides. pics/prices welcome too.

  • I have a friend who did Cuba for about $6000 and we're mose west coast, but I'm not sure where she stayed.  I'll see if I can find out.  She had about 11 people, photos, cake, dinner, etc. and 1 week there.

  • Prett sure you could totally find an All Inclusive in either Mexico or DR for that kind of budget!

    Good luck! :)

  • I'm doing mine for less!  Flight and stay for 10 days about $3500, all inclusive resort,  complimentary wedding(includes cake, bouquet, ceremony, food, alcohol) We are staying at the Vallarta Palace and we get $1500 resort credit that we can use for tours, spa, etc.  I would check with Beach Bum Vacations to see all your options. Good luck!

  • Melia Caribe Tropical in the DR (P!nta Cana) has rates that fall under what you're looking for and we used destinationweddings.com to help with guests booking. They're the ones who actually located the resort for us. Best of luck!
  • We are doing ours for about that price on Maui. We have 21 ppl, including us. If you want to know more, let me know.
  • I second Dominican Republic.  I was going to get married at Melia, but we decided to get married off the resort but our guests and us are all staying at Melia and their rates are pretty affordable.

I used Beach Bum Vacations and when I started planning I told them what my budget was and how much I was willing to ask my guests to spend and they founds some great resorts that fit the bill for us to choose from.  I would suggest contacting them (the service is free!).  You can give them your criteria and they will help give suggestions.

  • I second Beach Bum Vacations.  Nancy is amazing!  Just tell her your budget and she'll find the resort that's a great fit for you!

We weren't able to use her for our wedding because she doesn't do cruises, but that is another option.  We're getting a 7-day cruise (ports are Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Haiti) for $575 for an oceanview room.  We're coming from the west coast so our flights are probably double but what you'd pay to fly from NC and they were only $300 each.  So total for travel was under $1800 for both of us for 7 days / 6 nights.  The wedding will be on Grand Cayman and there's a company called Grand Old House that has an "all inclusive" package for $2650.  That would fit nicely within your budget and get you everything you want.

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
