Not happy today

I gave my supervisor my vacation request on Jan 10th. I asked for the week off between Christmas and New Years which i take off every year. She denied me stating that she needs me here to work. Now...she just gave me this back, a month later. I looked at the calendar and noticed she gave it to nother girl who I know did not hand her time off in before me! I put mine in my supervisors work box, apparently she hasnt looked in it for a month! She told me to pick another week, well I can't, FI has to request his time off the Selfember before the new year because he works at the Federal Prison so he can't switch his time and we were going to SC to visit his family. My second issue is that my dtrs father cancelled my child support hearing because he "has to work". The apt was at 2:30 pm and he works 10 pm to 4 am so unless he has two jobs he's a liar! Ok enough of my complaining lol. Have a great day!

I have got to say that your supervisor sounds terrible. She puts you through some serious craap.

On the bright side of the custody hearing- maybe he is working 2 jobs... more $$$, yes?

I actually think she's jealous of me because I go away a lot. She's made comments that "it must be nice To have money to go away". Well I'm sorry your husband has been unemployed for two years, it's not my fault. My FI has two jobs to be able to afford for us to go places. I hope he has two jobs! Better for my daughter!

Boo! Your supervisor sounds really annoying and slightly childish.  Complaining that someone else gets to go on vacation and then not giving you the week off, lame.  Hopefully he does have two jobs for more money for your daughter!  Hope you have a better day!

That stinks.  How does she even know if she will need you there to work?  Do you date your request sheets?

I hope all goes well with the hearing.  Maybe he is working more.

Yep I dated when I gave it to her and she dated when she told me no, which was yesterday....ya she was here getting OT when nobody else can have it! She has no idea if she will need me and there are 5 other people in my department that can fill in for me. She's just a B! I hope I'm not working for her by he end of the year but I'm kinda limited as to jobs right now with the jury duty thing. I have every Friday off here and my jury duty days are the last Thursday and Friday of the month so I only loose one day of pay, unless I get called in on other days! I always fill in for people when they are on vacation and that will stop if I can't take mine!

Sorry that your supervisor is so horrible That always makes work suck!!!

I hope he is working 2 jobs lol that's only going to work in your favour in the long run lol
