US virgin islands??

My FI and I were planning on a destination wedding in Hawaii in March 2013 but now I'm rethinking it. I looked at the virgin islands (beautiful) maybe St John since there still in the US our families will still come. has anyone been married or looking at the US virgin islands?

I just looked and the pricing and flights, they are more expensive and the flights were 12 hours long. That is too long in a plane for our families. I would like somewhere in the caribbean, I need to keep researching.

You should check out Beach Bum Vacation. They are a travel agent company and are free -- no fees for you or your guests. I am working with Melissa (several other girls on this board also work with them). We went to her and said we wanted USVI and she was the one that told us pros/cons. We are now getting married in Jamaica at a boutique resort called Coyaba Beach Resort.

Before talking to her, we listed out our must haves and nice to haves. This was helpful in finding a resort that worked best for us. I highly recommend checking out BBV -- even if you don't book with them (which there is no reason not to, they make it so easy) it's helpful in finding different options that fit your needs.
