My FI is very upset that one of my closest friends may not be coming to the wedding. She is my longest standing friend and although I'm not having bridesmaids, if I were, she would have been my numero uno pick. However, she says that she is going on a cruise and if she cannot get to St. Lucia for about $600, she may not be able to make it. FI was very upset to hear that and said that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn't do that to her and that she's supposed to be my girl - "what kind of friend is that..." But my point is that since I decided to have a destination wedding, I can't be mad if people don't want to make MY wedding THEIR vacation... His rebuttal is that this is supposed to my closest friend - if she was, she'd be there for me, hands down without a doubt. Do you agree or disagree?
