Sparkler question

I really want to use sparklers, but don't know if my resort will allow me to them.  I love having pictures walking through people with lit sparklers, my sister has one of the most beautiful pictures of this.  And they are always so much fun to light and will be fun with the kids!

Do you think I should ask my resort?

Re: Sparkler question

  • of course you should ask. i  was actually talking about this a couple of days ago with my FI. we love the idea of sparklers. they look beautiful and are fun\. if u want them def ask the resort because if they say yes then thats an awesome touch, and if they say no, that $ can be put towards something else.
  • I really wanted sparklers for my wedding, too.  The problem for me was transporting them.  I didn't think I'd get through customs and security with them.  Since you're getting married in the US, you may not have a problem, but I would still check with TSA.
  • Maybe tell your resort that you'll be happy to do it on the beach/away from the buildings so there's less chance of something catching on fire.  Really play it up, like it's something you've been wanting for YEARS and it would totally make your day to have it.

Also, check and see what the fireworks laws are in your state.  Some states only allow certain types of fireworks to come over state lines.  Here in Illinois, especially around the 4th of July, they have cops at the state line pulling people over to check for fireworks.  (They're illegal here, but legal in Indiana, so everyone goes there to buy them.  lol)
  • I'll be in MX and we want sparklers too! I haven't checked with my resort but sparklers don't have the high risk of fire like some other ones do... ask your resort for sure and GL!

  • I'd really like to know the answer of shipping or bringing sparklers from the US to the DOminican Republic! It would be great. I'm from NYC though so not sure I can be bringing sparklers on the plane or be able to ship them to the resort.
  • I loooove sparkles! They make for such awesome pictures!

I think you should ask & then please let me know what they say LOL

  • Of course you should ask! how fun would that be?!?!   Go for it!
  • I say defiantly ask, they may even be willing to provide them for you so you don't have to worry about state lines and such.  FI has one thing he wants for the wedding, smores, so whether or not we could have a bonfire on the beach (or any fire that can roast marshmallows) was a determining factor in our resort choice.
