Anyone planning a wedding in the central florida or western florida areas? my FI and I met in Florida, working for disney, its where we fell in love. but disney weddings are way out of our budget. we  still want a Florida wedding, but are at a loss in where to look. any ideas???

I'm getting married in May of next year in Marco Island Fla. I was also considering the Naples area but I'm focusing on MI now since my stepmother lives there. We've never visited - we're going on a planning trip in a couple weeks - but I've heard both places are very nice! She told me MI feels more beachy and islandy whereas Naples is more cosmopolitan. Key West! Not exactly central FL, but I'm partial.

Sanibel Island and Siesta Key are also popular spots for weddings.

We got married in Orlando this past January . We didn't find Disney weddings all that expensive since there are so many different options... we just found them annoying because there were so many rules. We opted for just an orlando resort wedding
