Just wondering if any ladies out there who have planned or are planning a destination wedding can give me some advice on things to ask/be cautious of etc.

Look at the photographer's work if the resort has a recommended photographer. Ask what their packages include and how long will they cover your wedding. We got married in P!nta Cana, DR and only used the videographer and flew in our own photographer. That was 1.5 years ago and at the time only a limited number of images were included in the fee.The resorts will have a lot of photographers so not one album may be the same.

I feel like it is tought when you aren't there to physically see work (like through a flip book of sorts) or if you aren't getting a recommendation from someone whose opinion you trust. I looked online at their website, sent out a facebook message/post through my resort's facebook page, and read reviews on line. I usually hate to read reviews because I always feel like there is such a mix and that you can't please everyone, but I did not read a single bad review for my photographer and I went through hundreds. I am using HDC.

Thank you very much ladies! I really appreciate your tips and feedback. I will be sure to investigate the photographers a little more.  It is tough planning everything from so far away, so I guess you never be too careful. We are planning a beach wedding in Barbados
