Is anyone getting their makeup done outside of their resort? I am just curious about who is out there, and what they charge. I am getting married at Dreams P*unta Cana.

I am getting married at Majestic Resorts. Two of my guest sale Mary Kay. I will have one of them doing my make-up.

I'm a DR bride too...and I'm struggling with the whole make-up thing so sadly I have no advice.  But I  would love to hear what you find out.  I haven't heard great reviews about the make-up and hair done at the resort...I've heard it was just ok...I don't want just ok lol

I thought about bringing someone but I couldn't justify the cost.  I also thought about doing it myself but I want to be pampered that day.

I'll let you know if I find anyone through my research, but I will watch this thread to see if anyone has suggestions too

Yeah I would not pay for any one to come from the states to do your make-up that does not make sense. I have two friends that are guest in the wedding that can do my make up. One is actually my cousin, she will probably do it as a wedding gift. The other is a friend who actually approach me about doing my make up. However both are make-up artist part time.

I actually talked  to my FSIL today and told her I would like for her to play around with it a bit. I really love the way she does her makeup. I have always stuck to the golds/browns, but really want my eyes to pop. They are my favorite feature. I guess we will see! I will keep my eyes out and keep you posted if I come across anything,
