Eloping to the islands

Hi - my fiancee and I decided to ditch the big wedding we were planning and take off to the Carribean to get married alone. 

Does anyonw have experience shipping wedding dressing to the Carribean?  I was going to take it on the plane with me at the urging of my travel agent but was wondering about shipping it ahead of time.

    I live in the islands (st thomas) and there  is no way in hell I would ship my wedding dress down.   I've had packages sent next day take weeks to get here.  It's not always the case, but I would not risk it






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
