Hellllllllooooo! I am so happy it's Friday! I know many of you are, as well! We are going to work on the tiki bar this weekend and I'm really excited about that. I'm also going to be finishing up a few wedding projects. I know, I really need to do some posts with pictures on what I've been working on. But, at least I've started to get blogs up about Maui.

What do you ladies all have going on this weekend? Any wedding projects that you will be working on?

I have today off but FI is uber sick and I seem to be catching it... BOO! So we have been in bed all morning (brought my laptop to bed to post on here). 

We were SUPPOSED TO go to Columbus this weekend, but not sure what's going to happen there... waiting to see how we feel and going with the flow... If I end up at home maybe I can work on some more low key stuff that involves me sitting on the couch covered in a blanket while doing it... lol

Kimmy, I'd love to see more pics! Britt rest up, you've got a new job next week!! Well after my fun morning, not (see my below post), I'm finally gonna eat for the day and watch TV until FI gets home. He's supposed to be home now but had to take an inmate to the ER. My friends are all going out and I may go for a bit. Not sure that I want to so I may change my mind. Only wedding related thing for me this weekend will be making up my mind on who to do my hair and makeup!

I finally(!!) have a day off.  I worked 12 days straight and I'm pooped.  I'm supposed to be at a work meeting, but told my boss he was smokin crack if he thought I was going to show up.  He agreed and I've got the whole day to myself YEAH!!

I mailed most of the invitations today.  Since mother dearest forgot to send me half of the velum I at least got most of the invitations in the mail.  I'm about to go to Hobby Lobby to get it myself, because god knows when she'll send it.

FI and I stopped fighting, so that's nice.  I still think he's a butthead, but at least we're not giving each other the stink eye.

Finalized the cake today, so that's another MAJOR accomplishment.  I'll post picutes of invites and the cake, but right now gotta get to Hobby Lobby before traffic gets too bad.

I am trying on the dress from WI tomorrow, so should have a final decision of THE DRESS this weekend. Wahoo! I have been looking for cool fonts to use for our invites, and found a few that fit in my vision. I am going to start working on these this weekend too. I also want to start looking for bridesmaid dresses. Starting to get back into wedding planning mode and love it! 8 months.

 

Tonight FI and I are staying in and catching up on TiVo. Our tradition is to have nachos + margaritas on Fridays. Tomorrow I am running a 10K before going to the wedding place, and on Sunday we are going to the “Super Ball” – a local bar is having a meatball cook-off so we are going to vote for “queen meatball.” Hahah. Should be a fun weekend. Oh, and I have to get caught up on cleaning since I’ve been gone the past two weekends.

Good afternoon, ladies!  I had my first dress fitting today, however, the wedding is on hold at this point.    FI had a skiing accident when we were in CO this week and needs surgery on his knee.  Right now we don't know many details about recovery time (though we have been given an estimate of 6mos-1 year), or even when the surgery will be scheduled.  He had an appt with his PCP today and got a referral to a sports med doc.  For now he has a brace and crutches.  Not sure what to do except wait!  We were going to move full speed ahead with booking a venue and arranging the little details after getting back from the trip, but it looks like our June wedding will have to be postponed until later in the year.  We have also been throwing around the idea of just going to the JOP and then having our destination "wedding" (or just honeymoon without the ceremony) later on when he is fully healed.  If we did that, we could go ahead and move in together and he would have someone to look after him during recovery and help him with the extensive PT he's going to need.  So much can change in an instant!  Hope everyone has a good weekend!
