In a post yesterday or the day before I asked your thoughts on the intimate dining place I found. Someone suggest another place to check out so I emailed them. The private dinner is on the beach with 4 course $95+pp plus 20% service charge plus 4.71 tax, plus $75 server fee. This doesn't include drinks or the $600 SITE FEE, seriously, for a two person dinner, are u kidding me? I think I shall stick with the first place.

That's crazy! Maybe we can send the woman who quoted me $500 for just my hair/makeup plus a $300 travel fee to do so on site to go help get ready for that dinner lol

My FI did this for our engagement dinner, only the price was even more than what you mentioned. I came across the same when trying to find a private space for our ceremony. Sometimes I find it valid - like if they have to shut down an area or hire extra staff for you, and sometimes it's just insane - like if you're not asking for much and there are already servers. Luckily for our wedding dinner we found a restaurant w/ a private space they just let us use, so the money can go towards a yummy menu. Anyway, not sure what the point of my reply was. Keep looking!
