I am SO over this whole wedding contract thing. Long story short, my parents are having a cow over the guest list and are basically refusing to pay more than the 15 people allotted for in the contract (even though we have a price per head if it goes over that, I warned them I was inviting way more people [even though we expect, and have basically confirmed about 80% of the people being invited are not coming], and I told them all along the way that this 15 was only tentative. Anyway, we have about a 150 person guest list, which is more for the AHR we're planning on having it, but as far as etiquette goes, it's only right to invite everyone to everything because my mom is trying to pull the whole "my brothers and sisters count as immediate family" and isn't including FI's parents' brothers and sisters/close family members (which is completely unfair) and is thinking about some cousins and not others etc...basically she's trying to be like "ok you can come, but not you, ok you can come, but not them..."
Sorry there's more, but I'm so incredibly angry right now. Especially because I already ordered STD's for all the people and FI and I want to invite everyone. This is only a big deal because the parents are paying, but FI's parents are paying too and aren't asking what they need to pay for, they're just saying, just let us know what we need to pay for and it'll get done. My mom is the one being "I'm not going over the 15 amount and if his side of the family comes over that number then they're just going to have to pay for themselves, etc." and it just feels like a whole separatist event and just ugh. Oh and my mom isn't even considering my friends that I want to invite...

I think FI and I are going to invite everyone and are only expecting literally MAX 25 to show up to Jamaica. Though I know there are surprises, it's like, literally, what are the odds of having 150 people show up there (which is my dad's fear)...slim to none.
