Marriage License In Dominican Republic Help

To all the other brides who got married in the Dominican Republic or is getting married there what did you do about your marriage license?  I am getting married in P*nta Cana, would I just get a US marriage license for my state kind of justice of the peace deal?  I am waiting for the wedding department to respond back to me but i'm being a little impatient. Please help!

When I first looked into DR with my travel agent she said we will go through this if I decide on getting married there

Here are the requirements as listed on the page for my resort..

We are just doing it here in the states. At first I was hesitant because I didn't want to just have a bunch of random days just for the legality of it, but it works out so much better and is sooooo much cheaper!
