Costa Rica or the Dominican Republic? If you're getting married there, which resort are you using?

We talked to the handful of people we'd want to take along and they are all very supportive. We are hoping though to move our wedding up to July so let's hope I can find a resort with open dates. We don't really care about the day so that helps a lot. We think it would be fun to go somewhere fairly close that none of us have been to. FI and his family and friends are pretty avid travelers. So we narrowed down to Central and South America and came up with those options.

Plus even if we pay for absolutely everything so there's no stress on our guests, it's looking like we won't hit half of our original budget which is awesome!!!

I don't know anything about Costa Rica but my FI and I are honeymooning in the DR. We selected Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana. You might want to check it out....the weddings that I've seen videos and pictures of were amazing. They also have a FB page with tons of photos and info.  HTH!

I love the Marriott in Guanacaste, in Costa Rica. The four seasons is fab and the I've heard great things about the Marriott in Puntarenas too. Costa Rica is awesome, if you decide on it page me and I'll be happy to answer questions. 

there have been a couple of girls who got married there recently, and Lisa and Laura have gone recently for Vacay, and Michelle and Carollyn studied there in college. There are a lot of girls who could hep w/ recs. We don't really use the ND board much anymore, but if you put a request up for info, I'm sure people will see it. 

good luck w/ your decision. there are also tons of DR brides, past & present, so I know you'll get a lot of help there too.

I have to go with DR because is my native land

I'm getting marry at Dreams Puntaa Cana. Gorgeous Resort!
But I was in CR last April and loved it. We stayed at the Riu resort.
