Where is everyone? :P

I feel like we have this post every week day around this time. I'm starting to feel sick and I just can't wait to get off work! Should NOT have let my coworker talk me into Chinese for lunch today. My lean cuisine is crying for me from the freezer.

  • Im waiting on my lean cuisine right now & realized i dont have an effing fork or spoon - just plastic knives, great. My boss & my big boss are gone all week so i have the whole hallway to myself. I still cant knot tho from my work comp cuz the county monitors it & ish
  • *waves*  I could get used to this whole "working from home in your pj's thing." - except that it's not bringing in much money.  lol  I honestly don't know which I prefer - being able to go outside and blow bubbles with my kid when it's 80 degrees but being flat broke, or having to go to work everyday and earning a paycheck but being stuck inside doing boring stuff.  Wouldn't it be sweet if you could have the best of both worlds?
  • I was stuck in the crappy mail room at work, back at my desk now!!

<div>If only. I'm so sick of working this crappy job. It honestly wouldn't be so bad if there was enough work to justify me being here, but most of the time I could do it all from home. </div>
  • I'm in and out.  I've been trying to catch up all day.  My boss is out today so I'm all over the place.  Only 1.5 left until I get to go home.

I so can't wait to have a job where I can work from home.  I'm over sitting in an office for 8-9 hours ALL day long.  Heck I can't even wait until I'm manager somewhere and I can peace out at 4-5pm instead of being here till 6 like my boss does!
  • I"m here...counting down the minutes till I get to leave work!

    only 50 minutes to go......

Haha I've noticed that that's how it is everywhere! Our director here strolls in 10-30 minutes late every day and leaves early most of the time. And yet if we're not in our desk chairs by 8:00 sharp we get written up. Love it!
  • The crappy thing is, though, that I work and work and work and make no money...... yet.  Kinda hard to keep myself on task that way.  It's kind of like "Why bother working if you don't get paid?"

When I was a social worker, my job took me out of the office about 75% of the time. I loved it!  I don't think I could handle a job where I had to be in the same place all day long.  Kudos to those who are doing it!  I hope time flies by for you all!

Not that I get written up, but yeah that's how it is.  He strolls in 9-9:15 (blaming lateness on his wife that he loves so much *read sarcasm* and his little ones), then he's out at 5, if not before stating because he doesn't take a full lunch...and yet I fib on my lunch breaks to MAKE it be an hour...

Just gets old!  And I'm super jealous.  I want better hours.  I guess I shouldn't say I'd want to stay home every day, but if I could get to work earlier then 9 and leave, oh let's say 4ish...I'd be such a happy camper!
  • I've been busy at work working on my barefoot sandals. I went on my lunch break to Michaels to pick up what I was missing and now I can't stop putting it together. I'm on a role with DIY projects. Aisle runner at night and barefoot sandals during the day. Oh the joy of being engaged :)

  • I'm with you ladies. I was actually job searching earlier today. Though mine would be going from a non structured environment to a structured one to make more money. Why cant I just stay home and plan events all day?

I'm here... I busted my a$$ at work earlier... there's no way in h-e-double-hockey-sticks I'm going for a walk now. My feet hate me. It's Victoria Day up here, and today is the holiday monday, so my work was about the only place open.

I wanna do some DIY projectssss!! C'mon year, hurry up so I can do something productive!!

  • I'm here...in the evenings and weekends!  Kinda like an old school phone plan! ;)  I can't go on TK at work any more if I want to keep my job.  So I go post crazy in the evenings!  :)
  • Jessica, why wait a year?  Get all your DIY done now if you can.  You'll be glad you did when you're 2 weeks away and freaking out that you won't get everything done.  :-)

You speak the truth, Lisa. I want to start now, which I might. I do have escort cards that I need to create a second border for. Maybe I can start on the things that I know I'll need for sure and then fill in the blanks later.

Hmmm... maybe I'll steer FI toward the art store when we go for our lunch date tomorrow for fineliners.

  • Ditto to what Lisa said. I did most of my DIY projects a year ago and now I only have two more to finish and I'm good to go. My goal is to have everything wedding related done and packed a week before we leave so then I'm not stressing. :)
