Ok ladies....

I feel kinda dumb posting this, but I'm doing it anyway b/c I'm frustrated about this!

THIS SITE OVERWHELMS THE HECK OUTTA ME!!!  I've heard great things about it and that it's a "bride's best friend" but I can't really figure out how to navigate it and, like I said, it's totally overwhelming to me.

Any pointers on how to navigate through there or what type of searches to do??

Thank youuuu! :)

You search what you're looking for and find the product you like best for quality and price.  You also also ask for deals.  I am the queen at this and get a lot of stuff marked down.  I have found it goes by a lot of what your friends have bought from there.  When ever someone posts they got something from a certain seller, check out their seller's shop.  A lot of times, you'll find something you like in there too if you have a similar style.

It's overwhelming if you're just browsing with no real thing in mind.  Like I was looking for personalized flasks.  I typed that in and went through a few pages after I said sort lowest to highest so that I could stay in my price range.  Then I found a seller who had what I was looking for, for the best price.

If you convo them about what you're looking for, prices, personalizations, it's a lot easier.  I always convo before purchase!  If a seller is local to you, you can ask about picking up from them to save shipping!
  • I have been crowned the queen of etsy by my friends. Check out my bio I've got links to all the sellers there. If you need help looking for something in particular let me know!
  • Tip: join heartsy.me and they email you deals once a day - ive found a lot of items through that. I love it!

Ooooh.  I might need to do this.  I'm a newbie to Etsy, and I'm very overwhelmed sometimes.  But these ladies have great pointers.  Usually when someone posts on here about something from there, I always go to that page, and from there you can usually find other great pages.

I love etsy. I generally searched things like destination wedding, starfish wedding, or beach wedding just to get ideas and then narrow it down from there. What kinds of things are you looking for? Here is a list of sellers I used and what I ordered from them:

    sweetpeasseashells:
bridal suite/do not disturb sign, OOT bag tags, place card tags, and program fans. She is my fave seller of all time.
    laceyclairedesigns: table name cards
gallery360: starfish holders for table names
    oliveart: custom guest book
    studiokgraphicdesign: monogram
    asquaredjewelry: wishbone necklases for bridesmaids
    odysseycustomdesigns: custom koozies
    timelesspaper: placecards for rehearsal dinner
mommyholly: anchor cutouts for rehearsal dinner
    merrymint: invitations for rehearsal dinner
    nattymichelle: custom wedding map
    monogrammarketplace: luggage tags
    looking4lilly: clutch
*also there are pictures of many of these items in my bio. Good luck!!
  • I just made my first etsy purchase last week.  Both shops were very helpful and answered all my questions (even the silly ones).  For one I went off of Sarah's advice and the other, I knew what I wanted so when I found the shop, I discussed with them what I was looking for.  Easy, peasy!

  • Is there something specific you're looking for?  Maybe people can give you recommendations if they've bought a similar item.
  • I love love love love love etsy.  I get tons of handmade and vintage items from it.  I've purchased bunches from there jus this week. :) Heartsy is great.  I've been able to get lots of things for the wedding with it at a fraction of the price.
