Ladies I am sooo stressed and I don't know how to just let things go...lol... Please help to make me feel better...
#1 Culprit.... lack of people RSVPing and BUDGET!
So.... our RSVP deadline is the 15th...just 5 days away and so far we are missing 72 of them! As of today we officialy have 31 adults and 9 kids booked and RSVP'd... However if we do a count of those people + the people that have told us they were trying to go but haven't officially said yes it would be 62 adults and 10 kids.... AND if you count people that FI thinks are going to go and he hasn't talked to recently that take our count of adults to over 80!
That's a HUGE difference in #s and that means a HUGE difference in cost for the reception... I'm super stressed about it and FI doesn't seem phased at all...
AND on top of that FI still insits the trip to the UKfor that wedding... again with or without me.. so of course I'm going to go... I found a GREAT package deal to spend 4 days in Manchester and then 4 days in Paris for a really great price... the only problem is it needs to be booked now and the final payment is due the day we come back from the wedding... which doesn't give us a lot of time...
So that has me more stressed...
FI's solution is we just cut things from our reception... no open bar, only 1 hour dancing... things like that... BUT I don't think that's fair to us or our guests....I just don't know what to do...
I've been plugging away trying to figure our how to make it all work without skimping on our wedding and still have the wedding of our dreams... but no matter how I do the numbers we are still about 2-4K short.... I'd have a better idea if I knew exactly how many guests were going...
I'm not sure if there are any suggestions... but I at least wanted to vent to someone that understood my frustrations.... FI just doesn't seem to get it or be worried....
